The Spectrex system is an automatic fire/fuel explosion detection and suppression system specifically designed for Combat Vehicles, providing increased survivability against fires initiated by IEDs and penetrating munitions, as well as fire protection during training activities.
In the crew compartment - the system protects personnel by reducing pressure build-up resulting from fuel explosions, limiting skin damage and minimizing formation of toxic gaseous by-products.
In the engine compartment - the system has the capability of detecting overheat and fire as well as successfully extinguishing fuel fires. The system is based on two independent systems, one for the crew compartment and the second for the engine compartment.
System configuration is dependent on customer requirements.
The system is designed to provide a double shot extinguishing capability in both crew and engine compartments. The system can be down-graded to single shot per the specific vehicle requirement.

The Spectrex system is an automatic or manual suppression system specifically designed for combat vehicles, providing increased survivability against fires initiated by IEDs for the vehicle exterior.
The system provides fire protection for both sides of the vehicle (at the troop location), the rear zone, the roof and the front window.
The external system extinguishing agent is a dry powder system, including piping and dispersion nozzle to cover the protected area.

The Spectrex System is an automatic or manual suppression system specifically designed for combat vehicles, providing increased survivability against fires initiated by IEDs for wheels and under the vehicle.
The wheels extinguishing system is a dry powder system with three dispersion nozzles for each wheel, extinguishing all types of fire.
For an automatic system, a suitable detector must be purchased with the system.

The system protects the vehicle and Personnel against fires that may occur in the vehicle’s Personnel and engine compartment.
One automatic or manual activation is available for each compartment.
In the Personnel compartment – the system protects personnel by reducing pressure build-up resulting from fuel explosions, limiting skin damage and minimizing formation of toxic gaseous by-products. The system is capable of effectively detecting and suppressing all possible types of fires, i.e. small or large, slow or rapidly growing, limited in area or widely spreading, as well as fuel explosions, which may occur during combat or training service of military vehicles.
In the engine compartment – the system has the capability of detecting fires and successfully extinguishing those fires, at all working conditions of the engine.
